Jose is from Caracas, Venezuela where he practiced as an OB/GYN for over 30 years. Sonography was one of the aspects that he enjoyed the most from his practice, as well as being part of that life changing moment where parents get to see their child for the very first time.

In retirement, Jose relocated to Madrid, Spain. His passion for the field led him to continue practicing sonography conducting OB ultrasounds.  After 3 years in Madrid, Jose and his wife realized that they wanted to be closer to family and decided to move to Florida to become a permanent fixture in their grandchildren’s lives and be closer to their daughter and son-in-law, who are both pediatricians at a local children’s hospital in St. Petersburg.

Jose is excited to join the team at Baby Scene and continue his life’s passion of creating that special moment of introducing parents to their babies through 4D and 5D HD ultrasound.

Gina, B.A., RDMS, is a native of Tampa and Baby Scene’s lead sonographer, overseeing the hiring and certification of Baby Scene’s sonography team. Gina has been a sonographer for more than 18 years, she brings a level of professionalism and expertise combined with compassion and a genuine love of the prenatal experience and the joy that only children can bring.

After graduating with honors from USF, she earned the Clinical Award from the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at HCC. Gina then went on to become the lead sonographer for Tampa General’s Genesis OB/GYN department. Her career has involved everything from caring for high risk patients under the tutelage of world-renowned physicians to her current position working in a private practice setting. She truly cherishes every interaction with her patients.

She has been married for 20 years to her husband and best friend. Together they have 1 daughter, three sons, and a grandson. She credits her personal experiences with helping to relate to her patients and cater to their needs. She loves reading, running, fishing, football and watching her kids do the activities they love!

AshleyLynn, RDMS, received her Associate of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from the College of Health Care Professions after completing a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Northern Colorado in 2017. While researching different fields of medicine, she found her calling in ultrasound. Through her time in clinical, hospital, and emergency room settings she became a versatile scanner. However, it was regularly volunteering for a pregnancy resource center that created a special place in her heart for OB. She is personable and has “never met a stranger,” which she credits to cheerleading and waitressing while growing up. She looks forward to sharing in your journey with your new bundle(s) of joy.

Ashley was born and raised in Tampa and recently returned with her family after being away for 17 years. She attended Florida State University, where she majored in Exercise Science and minored in Biology, Chemistry and Child Development. Her passion for helping people led her to pursue a career in medicine where she attended American University of Antigua and graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Medicine. Ashley did her Residency in Pediatrics at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia; however, after her first year decided to focus on starting a family and put medicine aside.

Ashley has thoroughly enjoyed being a stay at home mom to her two young children. She became interested in pursuing obstetric sonography from her own 4D ultrasound experience while pregnant with her children. Ashley believed it was such an amazing, positive experience seeing her babies up close and personal before birth that she wanted to extend those very special moments with other pregnant women. She completed her training in obstetrics sonography and is excited to be a part of Baby Scene and to share in the special moments of 4D & 5D HD Ultrasound.

Dawn, RDMS, has over 9 years experience in elective ultrasound. She graduated from HCC in 2013 and is registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN ultrasound.

Dawn has been married for 30 years and has 2 sons. When not at Baby Scene, she loves spending time with family, especially going on cruises, golf cart rides at sunset, walking and shopping. Dawn is very excited to share in your pregnancy journey with you and your family, and getting to know your little one!

Holly, RDMS, is a Clearwater native and has been an OB/GYN sonographer for over 14 years. She is registered in OB/GYN and is Nuchal Translucency certified. She has a passion for creating an unforgettable experience and making beautiful memories for expectant mothers.

Holly has been married for 6 years and has 2 daughters, plus a fur baby, Mr. Franklin. When not at Baby Scene, you can find her outdoors gardening, at the beach or going on bike rides with her family.

Jackie, RDMS, RVT, has been a sonographer for 8 years specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, general, and pediatric sonography. She graduated from HCC in 2014. She currently works in a hospital setting full time and works in a private practice on the side. Ultrasound is not just a career for her, it’s a passion. Patient care and compassion is of utmost importance to her. Being a part of and seeing the happiness on families faces as they experience the joy of seeing their babies face or hearing the heart beat is one of the most rewarding things.

Jackie is a Tampa native. She’s married to her high school sweetheart and has three beautiful daughters. She enjoys the outdoors, beach, and spending time with her family.

Kenia, RDMS, graduated sonography school in 2009 in Miami. Her specialty is in abdomen and OB/GYN ultrasound. She worked at Exodus Women’s Center for nearly 8 years where she performed 3D/4D OB/GYN ultrasounds. When not working at Baby Scene, she also works as a sonographer in Florida Medical Clinic’s OB/GYN department.

Kenia was born in Cuba and enjoys going to the beach, traveling and playing at the park with her toddler daughter.

Susan, RDMS, has been a sonographer for over 25 years. She is registered in OB/GYN and Abdomen. She has spent her career specializing in OB/GYN, and has a love for the field. Susan continues to be amazed with the evolving ultrasound technology.

Susan is well respected in the Tampa Bay area among physicians and clinical staff. She was on staff at Tampa General hospital for 15 years, and then moved to a private practice setting. Her background includes high risk and low risk OB, as well as GYN scanning/procedures. She is also certified in nuchal translucency ultrasounds. She makes her patients feel at ease, during what can sometimes be an anxious time. She considers it a privilege to be a part of the ultrasound experience with her patients and their families seeing the miracle of life from the very beginning. It’s priceless to her.

Susan was born and raised in Tampa. She is married to her best friend, Robert, for over 25 years. They have 3 children and one precious fur baby named, Spencer. She loves spending time with her family, drinking coffee, reading, gardening, going to the beach and church…..oh, and baseball, lots of baseball!

Jeanne, RDMS, has been a sonographer for 24 years, and recently retired from TGH/Genesis after working 20 years as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer. Jeanne especially enjoys helping high risk patients experience a healthy pregnancy. “I love to bring excitement and joy to the faces of so many families.” Jeanne has been married to her husband, Scott, for 41 years and has two children.

Valorie, founder of Baby Scene, knew the importance of making a lasting first impression and created a space that was so much more than just sonograms. With a background in event planning and art and design (check out her original artwork created for Baby Scene at your appointment), you’ll find Valorie at most ultrasound appointments taking candid pictures of mamas and chatting away.

As a native of Tampa with Latin roots, Valorie has a deep love of family. It is not uncommon for her to sit with a single mama and hold her hand, or pass out champagne to get the party started. Valorie wanted to create a space that was more than just an appointment, but rather a unique and memorable experience.
