Kristina has been working in the health and wellness field for over six years as a massage therapist and yoga teacher. Her specialties include training in Prenatal, Thai and Sports Massage, Vacuum Cupping, Reflexology and KT Tape. Kristina is a mom to 9 year old twins, and has been married to her best friend for 10 years. She brings the skills and knowledge gained from each of these roles to her passion, working with women going through the exciting, but sometimes not so easy transition into motherhood and beyond. Kristina is currently pursuing certification as a postpartum doula. When she’s not working or busy being a mom, you can find her snuggling her cats, practicing yoga, or reading a book in nature.
Esmeralda graduated from Cortiva Institute in 2009. She believes that massage and energy work can help to unify and aid in the healing of the whole self. Through compassionate and careful listening, she addresses both physical, emotional and energetic issues, gently ushering your body towards peace and balance.
She initially studied massage and prenatal therapy, and then continued to enhance her practice through the study of Thai bodywork as a Medical Massage Practitioner abroad. She has spent the last decade sharing her practice in medical clinics, corporate settings and spas, as well as working in her own private practice.
She continues to share her gift through a variety of massage and body treatment services. Whether through strong compression, a comforting soft glide, or the release achieved from the sustained holds of Myofascial Release. Esmeralda’s practice is a fusion of mind, body, movement and breath which she utilizes in addressing the needs of clients suffering from chronic pain, those experiencing the stresses of a demanding life, of expectant mothers seekingrelief from the physical strain of pregnancy, and postnatal recovery.
Her style combines a mixture of clinically based deep tissue, myofascial release techniques, lymphatic drainage and stretching to calm, reset and revive the body, providing a relaxing yet effective massage. She works to slowly engage with the body to access what it needs, working to alleviate any tension, discomfort or pain. She also specializes in face and scalp treatments.
In addition to massage, Esmeralda found her second love in Yoga. You can experience Esmeralda’s Restorative & Bowl Rhythm yoga class here at Baby Scene.
Esmeralda is passionate about educating her clients on their body. She believes we all contain the innate ability to heal. She uses an intuitive approach to create the ideal environment for yourbody to unwind naturally.
